How much does a kitchen renovation cost on the Sunshine Coast?

In 2026, a kitchen refresh (doors or refinishing, counters, backsplash) typically runs $20,000–$35,000. A full renovation with new cabinets, counters, flooring and updated plumbing and electrical runs $35,000–$65,000, not including appliances, and a custom kitchen or layout change starts around $80,000. Cabinet choice and moving plumbing are the biggest cost drivers.

Do I need a permit to renovate in Sechelt?

Structural, plumbing and electrical changes usually need a permit from the District of Sechelt, Town of Gibsons or SCRD. We handle the application.

How far ahead should I book?

We’re usually booking renovations 2–3 months out. Kitchens and bathrooms with special-order cabinets, tile or fixtures can take longer, so call or text early and we’ll hold a spot once the scope and price are agreed.
