Window and door replacement
Coastal Grove replaces windows and exterior doors across the Sunshine Coast with full-frame installs only. We cut back the siding, tie new membrane into your wall, air-seal the whole perimeter and finish with new trim inside and out, so the window keeps water out for decades. Both owners are Red Seal Glaziers. Our window replacements run $1,500–$2,000 per window with everything included.

What a window replacement costs
Every window gets the same full-frame install, so the price covers the whole job, not just the unit. Large, custom or hard-to-reach openings cost more; we price each opening after a site visit.

Install
We open up the wall around each window, set it properly, seal it and re-trim, working one room at a time so your house stays closed up at night.
What’s different here
Wind-driven rain
Coast storms push water sideways. How the window is tied into the wall matters more than the window brand.
Foggy windows
Condensation between panes means a failed seal. The glass can sometimes be replaced without replacing the whole window.
Windows & doors FAQ
How much does window replacement cost on the Sunshine Coast?
Our full-frame window replacements run $1,500–$2,000 per window with everything included: the window, cutting back and re-flashing the siding, new membrane tied into the wall, a full perimeter air seal, and new trim inside and out. Many quotes you’ll see online are lower because they’re for retrofit inserts, which leave the old frame and flashing in place.
Why don’t you do retrofit windows?
A retrofit (or “insert”) window sits inside the old frame. It’s cheaper, but it keeps whatever flashing and weather barrier were there before, and it can’t be tied into the wall properly. On the Coast, with wind-driven rain, that’s where leaks and rot start. We only install full-frame so we can stand behind the work.
How long does it take?
Most homes take 1–2 weeks on site depending on how many windows, and we work one room at a time.
Are there rebates for new windows?
Some. The CleanBC window and door rebates ended for invoices dated July 6, 2026 or later. BC Hydro offers $100 per window or door, up to $2,000, for units with a U-factor of 1.22 or lower installed by a licensed contractor, and FortisBC has similar and income-qualified offers. Check eligibility before you order; we’ll give you the product specs you need.
